Hugh Jackman on Rob: He's a really great actor and really good guy

Hugh Jackman spoke briefly about Rob during his short interview with People.com. Rob and Hugh have met during the Oscars and have even shared a flight to Japan where they promoted their respective movies. They even had a karaoke night in Tokyo together with Kristen and Taylor.

Now they are set to star together in a movie, Unbound Captives, together with British actress Rachel Weisz.

“He’s a really great actor and a really good guy,” said Jackman. “His role is phenomenal and it’s going to be really amazing stuff.”

And what does he think about Pattinson’s famous hair? “I’m not an aficionado of hair, but his looks great.”

Jaime takes a leap to Harry Potter? (Updated)

We have reported in our sister site, Sugar Covered Quills, that British actor Jaime Campbell Bower (Caius in New Moon) has been in final negotiations to play the dark Wizard Gellert Grindewald in the last two Harry Potter movies, The Deathly Hallows.

Now reports came out from Cannes that his agent has confirmed, thru an interview, the young actor for the role. Every Potter fan know that Grindewald was the “original” dark wizard/lord which Prof. Dumbledore fell in love with. Sadly, he has to kill Grindewald? in a duel because of his dark aspirations.

If this is true, Jaime would be making the shift opposite to what Rob has done. He will be making the transistion from Twilight to Potter whilst Rob made the transistion from Harry Potter to Twilight.

Glad to know that he got the role and that there are two great young actors, working in two lucrative movie franchises.

Rob celebrated his birthday last Wednesday but it is just now that news articles are reporting in about his special night. Rob celebrated his brithday at the Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver together with his parents and his New Moon cos-tars Kristen Stewart, Jaime Campbell Bower and Ashley Greene. The crew of New Moon was also there to celebrate with him. Yesterday, we have posted pictures of him and the cast leaving his party in the early hours of the morning. Now we have more news articles about it.

According to Ted Casablanca, Rob and Kristen were “close” the whole evening and were “flirting” all night. There were also celebratory shots all night and were stopped only when the fans had found out their location.

Volturi jetting out of Vancouver

With New Moon wrapping up production in Vancouver, Volturi members are one by one jetting out of Vancouver. Michael Sheen aka Aro has twitted that he has left Vancouver and is jetting off to London.

Likewise, Dakota Fanning was spotted at the airport, on her way out of Vancouver. She is expected however to fly out to Italy to join Rob, Kristen and Ashley to shoot scenes for the “Volterra” parts in the movie.

Stephenie garners two Children's Choice Book Awards

Stephenie Meyer was the big winner at last night’s Children’s Choice Book Awards. The last book in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn was voted as the Teen Choice Book of the Year while Stephenie won the Author of the Year Award.

There were over 220,00 who partake during the voting. The Children’s Choice Book Awards is a part of the Children’s Book Week, the oldest national literacy event in the United States.

Robert Pattinson's Birthday Party (updated)

So last night Robert went out with some of the New Moon cast to celebrate his 23rd birthday party. He was very polite to fans waiting outside, giving them some autographs and taking photos. Once safely in the car he got a little camera shy.

Twilight actors attend the EyeCon in Florida

Twilight actors Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone attended the EyeCon recently, which was held this past weekend in Orlando Florida.

I asked him if he had to choose one, which would he choose: a full time career in music or a full time career in acting? In a nutshell, he said he loves all forms of art, and he would find a way to do both at the same time. He said he always plays his guitar in between takes and such. Also, he also started to blush a little bit and get a little awkward when a fan asked him if he was stuck on a desert island with a cast mate, which would he choose, and he said Ashley (Greene) and no more.

Rob is off to the Cannes Film Festival this weekend

Its confirmed: Robert Pattinson is going to hit the Cannes Film Festival. In an article by People.com, Rob is expected to hit the French Riviera town, where he has the chance to mingle with the world’s biggest stars. Among the stars expected there are Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, Pedro Almodovar, Aishwarya Rai and many more.

Also, in an article by Ted Casablanca, Rob is expected to flyout this weekend from Vancouver. Rob has so far enjoyed a day-off during his birthday but will work some scenes before flying out.
