Ashley Greene strikes a sexy pose in a new cover story for Interview Magazine. The Twilight actress was interviewed by her New Moon co-star, Michael Sheen, who mixed humor and dry wit to his interview. Here is an excerpt:
MICHAEL SHEEN: Okay. This is my first question. This is the only really serious one, and then the rest are quite funny. The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?
ASHLEY GREENE: Well, I think they’re just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears.
SHEEN: It’s true.
GREENE: So, yes, there’s discrimination. But I really don’t care.
SHEEN: You do get described as pixie-like a lot. In my younger days, I used to get described as sort of elf-like. I think it’s probably a lot easier to deal with that if you’re a pretty girl, rather than a sort of average-looking boy.
GREENE: I’m sorry about your adolescence.
SHEEN: Thank you. Well, look, let’s take a second and go back to the beginning, Ashley Greene. You grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Is that correct?
GREENE: That is correct.

SHEEN: And they haven’t called you back yet?
GREENE: Well, there was a time or two where they were like, “You probably need to come back to Florida.” But it just so happened that every time they told me to come home I would coincidentally book some type of role. I don’t know if it was fate or luck, and it was just happening at the right time, or if it was that they would say, “You are coming home,” and I would immediately go into survival-of-the-fittest mode and book something. But, whatever the case, it happened. And I did struggle. I definitely struggled. And I’m always grateful to my parents for letting me struggle, because you really don’t appreciate it as much, I don’t think, if you don’t realize what you’re gaining. But they paid my rent for the first year.
SHEEN: So, you turn up in L.A. with your bus ticket in your hand and a year’s rent in your pocket, and then what happened? What were the first auditions like?
GREENE: The first audition I went on was Days of Our Lives.
SHEEN: How did Twilight come about? Do you remember how it all went down?
GREENE: It was just another audition. My managers were like, “You’re going into a great casting office. They cast great projects. They’re sticklers. If you suck, they won’t call you back in.” So I was like, Okay, I’ll pay extra attention. Then I figured out there wasn’t a script or a breakdown, but there was a book. So I got the series and fell in love with it. Then that determination kicked in and I was like, Okay, I’m going to book this part is what’s going to happen. I worked my butt off for it.
SHEEN: Now there’s so much more to this whole Twilight thing than just the films, isn’t there? There’s everything that goes with it—it’s a huge sort of phenomenon. What’s it like being right at the epicenter of that whole thing?
GREENE: [sighs] It’s a really hard thing to wrap your head around. I was working at a restaurant, I booked the role in Twilight, put in my two weeks’ notice, got fitted, flew to Portland, filmed, and then it started getting hype. That helped me get my foot into certain doors before the movie even came out. I did fourindependent films during the break between Twilight [2008] and New Moon. I haven’t even really had time to sit back and process it all. But when you do finallysit back and think about it, it’s incredible.

Yesterday, we have posted the behind-the-scenes video of Ashley’s photoshoot with Teen Prom courtesy of Entertainment Tonight. Today, thanks to MTV, we have the first pictures of Ashley’s coverpage as well as few images inside the magazine.
In this issue, the actress talked about her prom experience as well as being the spokesperson for DonateMyDress.org, a charity which distributes used prom dresses to underprivileged teens. I
“I bought my dress and I pretty much paid for everything because my parents really didn’t have the money to pay for something like that. I worked for it, so I think it meant that much more to me because I had to save up,” she tells Prom2010.
“I had my prom dress forever until I became a part of the charity and donated it,” says Ashley. “It’s amazing to see girls’ faces light up [when given a dress]. It’s really fun because I get to interact with these girls and share the experience with them.”

“I went with my high school sweetheart and had a blast. I had that fairytale prom everyone talks about. It’s something I’ll remember forever.”
As for her prom tips?
“Definitely plan ahead because the actual day can be kind of stressful. Planning everything out helps a lot,” she says, adding that its also a good idea to pick out a dress you can easily dance and move around in.
“Be yourself and don’t overdo it. People have a lot of anticipation for an event like prom and end up overdoing it or wearing too much makeup. Really make sure you are comfortable because then you’ll feel beautiful, instead of going overboard and asking yourself, ‘Oh my gosh, what did I do?’”
She also talked a bit about the growth of her character in New Moon.
“With ‘Twilight’, I was just so nervous and new. I didn’t know what to expect,” Ashley tells the magazine. “With ‘New Moon’, we had [already] portrayed these characters and the fans responded to the movie and loved it.
“Also, Alice’s part became more pivotal. I got to do some action, and basically guided Bella through the whole second half of the film. I was so thankful that it happened in the second movie because I’m not sure I could have handled it in the first one.”

Just a few weeks after they graced the coverpages of Entertainment Weekly, the Twilight trio of Robert, Kristen and Taylor are gracing the front pages of Entertainment Weekly again after the phenomenal success of New Moon.
Here is what’s inside these special collector’s item issue:
Call it battle of the abs. Or the teen screams heard round the world. Either way, Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon did more business on its opening weekend than any other movie this year. Now that it’s the biggest fall opening ever at $142.8 million and its opening day number of $72.7 million outgrossed The Dark Knight’s first-day figure, Hollywood should finally accept that women drive the box office in a big way. “It’s great that the greenlighters in town have realized that little girls go to the movies,” says MGM’s president of marketing Michael Vollman. “But this genre has worked forever. To Sir With Love was an angsty girl movie.”
So what will this fickle, yet incredibly devoted audience turn to next? Disney thinks it could be…fairies. The studio has scooped up Aprilynne Pike’s best-selling young adult novel Wings and cast Miley Cyrus in an adaptation. New Regency is banking on a new novel from Ann Brashares (author of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) called My Name is Memory, while Lionsgate hopes tweens line up for an adaptation of author Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games. “Some will work and some won’t,” Summit’s co-chairman and CEO Rob Friedman says of the girl-driven projects. No matter what, “It won’t be The Twilight Saga. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
This issue of EW hits newsstands November 27!

A few months ago, Taylor Lautner participated in a photoshoot by Mark Seliger for Rolling Stone Magazine. Yesterday, Rolling Stone released their December 10, 2009 issue featuring Taylor at the coverpage. They have also posted an excerpt of their interview with Taylor.
What Lautner has done is turn his love of martial arts into superstardom as werewolf Jacob in the Twilight series. “This could have happened to anyone who played Jacob,” Lautner tells RS. “It’s Twilight. It’s not me personally.” But his hard work is inescapable: he started learning karate at age six and moved on to Xtreme Martial Arts, relocating with his family to Los Angeles to pursue acting and stomaching the bullying that came along with it. He put on 30 pounds of muscle between the first two Twilight films. He found time to shoot the upcoming Valentine’s Day with Taylor Swift, with whom he “instantly clicked,” he admits. “Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around.”

Don’t you think that when some fans see New Moon, they may be disappointed, because you’re kind of the villain in a way.
I have some pretty passionate team Jacob fans [laughs].Right. But you’re also the obstacle getting in the way of the great romance between Bella and Edward.
I can see where you’re coming from. The thing is, Jacob and Edward are two completely different guys. They are opposites. And it’s just what kind of girl you are. If you like that more mysterious, dangerous type, then that’s one guy. I personally love Jacob and Bella’s relationship, and how they began as friends. They are so much more open, and can tell each other anything. And Bella and Edward’s relationship, it’s always tense. It’s always serious. But Jacob and Bella’s friendship starts growing stronger and stronger and you just wonder if they can go past friends. It looks like that at some points. But when your character hangs up on Edward in New Moon, it sets off the whole chain of events that almost lead to a major tragedy. That’s something a villain would do.
Yes. that is part of Jacob’s character. He can’t really control himself. When he gets mad, he gets mad. And all Jacob has on his mind is on Bella. That’s who he cares for. That’s who he loves. If somebody gets in his way, it’s not good. And he will explode. So I guess you could see that either way.And then Bella is always lying to Edward so she can see you. This is supposed to be like true love forever, so why can’t she just be honest?
You know, she’s serious with Edward and then she meets best friend Jacob. She gets confused. But you’re not really her friend. You have an agenda with her, and you’re always making snide comments about Edward.
If I was Jacob, and I feel like I have lived as him, it gets so annoying. Because she’s in the car with you one moment, about ready to kiss you and then she leaves and is with Edward. And then she’s back with you, you know.
