We apologize for the delay in posting this. The newest trailer for Jackson Rathbone’s new movie, The Last Airbender has been released last week after the Super Bowl. There are new images of Jackson in this one, together with his sister and a love interest.

The movie will open on July 2, 2010, a few days after Eclipse. Guess Jackson is a busy man this summer.

Jackson Rathbone celebrates his birthday in Las Vegas

Last Friday, Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone was spotted at The Bank at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino Resort in Las Vegas, where he celebrated his 24th birthday early. He was there along with his band mates and was given a huge man in a banana suit cake. Jackson will celebrate his birthday on December 21!

Twilight stars lend voice to One Campaign

Twilight actors Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz lend their voices to the ONE CAMPAIGN, which fights global poverty and preventable diseases – specifically in Africa.

Entitled “Coming Together as One”, the ad also features other young Hollywood actors from Gossip Girl, High School Musical, Heroes and 90210. The goal of the campaign is to recruit more young people in the battle against poverty.

“In the last election, and over the course of history, young people have shown that when we get organized and committed, we are powerful. The fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease in poor countries needs our support, our energy and our commitment,” Ashley told ONE.

Jackson Rathbone: Music balances acting

Along with Robert Pattinson, Jackson Rathbone is considered as one of the musically-gifted and inclined actor in the Twilight cast. When he is not acting, Jackson spends his time rocking out with his band, 100 Monkeys.

In an interview with Chart Attack, Jackson revealed that music balances acting and he prefers it to acting since its the best way he can express himself.

“People say that [I'm more excited about music than acting], but I just feel like I have more control over music than I do over, say, playing Jasper in the Twilight series,” Rathbone said late this summer from the set of the third Twilight movie, Eclipse. “Because I get to write the words that I sing. As opposed to as an actor, I wear what people want me to wear, I stand where they want me to stand, I say what they want me to say.

“That’s great — I love being an actor and I’ve been studying to be an actor since I was about 14 years old. But music balances it out. I can’t have one without the other.”

He also relishes the experience with his band, where they play on bars and not being treatedlike some VIP.

“We don’t have a cushy life,” Rathbone says. “We’re not playing arenas and selling them out yet. We play dirty dive bars and love it. Whenever we’re on the road we sleep in two motel room and take turns sleeping on the floors. It’s not all glamourous and it’s great. If it were all glamour, it’d be boring.”

Cullens at Glamour UK

The Cullen siblings are featured in this month’s issue of Glamour UK. Nikki, Kellan, Ashley and Jackson all participated in photoshoot where they talked about relationships, love and lust. They also talked about their cast mates such as who they would hang out with and ask for advice.

Nikki: I actually really enjoy putting on make-up, not because I think I look better, but I really like art and painting.
Kellan: Football, sport in general. Although I have a lot of female friends who are into football just as much as me, that’s why I love hanging out with the girls, they get so into it and that’s sexy to me.
Jackson: I can’t clean. I really can’t, I’m not very good at it, I’m actually a poor cleaner. My level of cleanliness is far below most, I wear the same pants every day, I get at least 2-3 wearings out of my socks. Not in a row – they sit in my dirty pile.
Ashley: My dog is spoilt, I buy him clothes. I love girl movies and girl wine. I definitely get very excited over clothes, like really excited.

What’s the gender cliché you go against?
Nikki: I like clothes if I’m handed them, I don’t like shopping. I get bored really easily, like having to go through things and looking through racks. I’d much rather eat than shop.
Kellan: I am the worst at packing. If I’m going to the beach, it’ll take me like an hour to pack my stuff like my towels, bathing suits and games.
Jackson: I’m not into sports. I used to play a lot of baseball as a kid but I’ve never followed it I was always much more into art.
Ashley: I’m a real college football girl and I like hockey games. They’re really brutal but I enjoy them. I was a tomboy when I was growing up, I climbed trees and stuff.

The Cullens love the Volturi

If there is one thing that the Twilight cast, especially the Cullens, is excited to meet in New Moon, it would be hands down to the Volturi. Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone and Elizabeth Reaser have mentioned that they were excited to meet the Volturi cast especially veteran actors Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning.

Jackson also talked about how they hang out off the set and if we get to see more Jasper in the next films.

MTV: You guys have all spent so much time together over the last few years. When the cameras stop rolling on set, what do you guys talk about?

Rathbone: Between takes? We just kinda talk about regular things, you know. We’re all normal people — we’re not vampires in real life. Between takes, we’re talking about music we like or what we plan to do once the filming is done. I always bring my guitar with me and my harmonica, and Nikki Reed, Rob and Kristen and a lot of the cast are very musically inclined. So, a lot of times we’ll just be jamming between takes, to blow off some of the emotional intensity and have a little fun.

MTV: As the “Saga” moves along, do you feel more or less like your character?

Rathbone: More or less like Jasper? You know, I honestly think, it’s more of a Jasper I imagined coming into the first “Twilight.” Mainly because I’m able to show my backstory in “Eclipse,” where people get to see what really drives Jasper in “Twilight,” which you don’t really understand. This character, he’s always in pain, and [people ask], “Why?” and, “What is his reasoning?” He’s had a really dark past, and it follows him around. So, it was really nice to be able to get into those moments, so that explains and informs the way I’ve been performing through “Twilight” and “New Moon.”

MTV: There is so much “Twilight” merch out there now. Do you own any in real life?

Rathbone: Any “Twilight” merchandise in real life? I’ve not [purchased any]. However, my bandmate Ben Graupner bought a Jasper pillowcase with my face on it. I had to ritualistically burn it, because it was scaring me.
