Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli stopped by at Lopez Tonight last night where aside from promoting the latest Twilight movie, Eclipse, they also showcased their hidden talents in the show’s on-going special “Twilight’s Got Talent”.

Elizabeth Reaser: From Julliard to Hollywood

In a short profile interview with the New York Daily News, Elizabeth Reaser talked about playing motherly vampire Esme Cullen and hailing her New York roots.

On being a vamp: “With Esme, most of the time we see these great, loving, motherly, warm qualities in her. But that’s just because her life’s going really well for the most part. In this movie, her family is in danger, so suddenly she has to kick into vampire mode. She’s fast and murderous and powerful and can kill people if she has to. Now that Bella’s in danger, which endangers our whole family, she has to kick some ass.”

On playing a mom: “It’s funny to me that I do play a lot of mothers. And it’s interesting that people see me as that. I’m curious if I have some sort of warmth or something that I’m communicating. I’m not a mother, and I don’t think in that way, so it’s been a challenge.”

On attending Juilliard in NYC: “Ever since I was a little girl, my parents would bring us to New York and we would see Broadway shows like ‘Dreamgirls’ and ‘The Pirates of Penzance.’ And I was just obsessed. I was like, ‘I want to be a New York actress.’ In fact, I made my dad buy me this license plate that literally says, ‘New York Actress.’ And I put it up on my wall. That was always my dream.”

Elizabeth Reaser: “I always wanted to do some action scenes”

In a snippet of their interview with MTV, Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli offered compliments to Elizabeth Reaser aka Mama Cullen. Elizabeth has mentioned that she has always wanted to do some action scenes in a movie and it looks like in Eclipse, she was able to do her much-looked forward to action sequences.

“Elizabeth is slightly more delicate than I am, so I think she was a bit more methodical [in her training],” Nikki said. “As she should be, because I was kind of all over the place and maniacal with all the fight training.”

Peter seemed to envy Elizabeth’s poise during the fight scenes. “She looks so graceful when she does it,” said her onscreen hubby. “It’s like ‘The Matrix.’”

“Yeah, she does,” Nikki agreed. “I looked like a mess, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Elizabeth is also celebrating her 35th birthday today, so in behalf of all us here in Twilight-Movie.org, we wish MS. ELIZABETH REASER A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
