Bryce Dallas – Howard: How Robert Pattinson chipped his teeth

In a new interview with Bryce Dallas – Howard, the red haired beauty has revealed how Robert Pattinson chipped his tooth. Whilst working for the third film, Eclipse, Bryce was able to meet the Brit actor where he shared how he chipped his tooth.

“I actually came out to him that I was totally nervous about [meeting him],” the redhead said. “He’s such a sweet young man, and there’s such a distinctive difference between him and Edward Cullen. He does such a wonderful job embodying that character, and bringing that character to life. But when you meet him, he’s such a down-to-earth, humble person, you feel bad freaking out around him.”

Yahoo has also posted a new interview with Bryce, where she talked about her new film as well as part of a Hollywood family. Here is an excerpt:

Q: With everything on your plate, you seem to be leading an almost parallel life to your father’s.

A: “We’re very, very similar, but these are genuine interests of mine. I’m not just trying to be like him. I can’t ignore the fact that I have the greatest mentor possible for the things that I’m interested in. I’ve had an amazing chance to have a type of apprenticeship with my father — to learn from him and to work with him. It’s been the most positive, healthy, nurturing and challenging experience of my life.”

Bryce: The cast welcomed me into their family

MTV has posted another segment of their interview with Bryce Dallas – Howard where the red-haired actress talked about coming into an established cast and being welcomed into the family.

MTV: It’s no secret that you entered the franchise under less-than-ideal circumstances. What kinds of things did the other actors say and do in those early days?

Bryce Dallas Howard: What’s so great about that group of people is that they feel so genuinely blessed by this experience. Just by the response of the fans. But they’ve remained so grounded, and their friendships are genuine. I just felt really, really fortunate to get to meet all these wonderful people.

MTV: Kristen Stewart recently told us that you were “such a good actress” during the “Eclipse” shoot that “it was easy to be scared” of you. What were your thoughts working with her while she continued to develop such an iconic role?

Howard: Kristen is fantastic and so, so passionate about this role and this character. First, as a fan of the books it was such a relief to go onto set and see how seriously everyone was taking it. And, yeah, Kristen was incredible to work with, incredible.

MTV: You were a “Twilight” fan before you even got the role. In your opinion, which of Stephenie Meyer’s books is the best?

Howard: I love these books, and “Eclipse” for me is [the best one]; I’m partial to “Eclipse.” And that was true even before “Twilight” came out.

Bryce Dallas – Howard: Saturday Night Magazine

Bryce Dallas-Howard took front and center in the recent issue of Saturday Night Magazine. The talented actress talked about her new movie, The Loss of a Tear Drop Diamond, adapted from a story by Tennessee Williams. She also talked about joining the Twilight cast and taking over the role of Victoria, which was portrayed before by Rachelle Lefevre.

SNMag: What has it been like joining the cast of Twilight?
BDH: It’s a really extraordinary series and obviously the franchise really reflects what Stephenie Meyer has created with a lot of integrity. She’s so involved with the movies and it is really wonderful. It’s really an incredible storytelling moment. And people are really connecting with and responding to that. So I read the books and I just did my best for the character Victoria. I just wanted to do my best not to interfere with the books.

SNMag: Did you feel pressure coming into this, with the character already being established?
BDH: Yes, of course I did. Rachelle [Lefevre] did an extraordinary job at creating Victoria and part of the joy of a franchise like this is getting to see not only the characters grow but the actors continuing to grow with the characters. That’s a lot of the joy in the Harry Potter series. Every time I see one of those movies it’s so exciting to see them because they’re all getting a little bit older and different things are happening to them. It’s like watching a TV show. You start to connect with the actors really deeply. It was really unfortunate for everybody that Rachelle left. I did feel, I don’t know if I should say a pressure, but an enormous responsibility because the fans felt really strongly about the role of Victoria and they felt a deep connection to Rachelle, which they should because she is also beautiful and talented. I really did do my best and I hope that whatever work I did can somehow honor what had been created before and what was created by Stephenie. I felt really grateful to this because Rachelle and I have connected. She’s an amazing woman and has been enormously and overwhelmingly helpful.

SNMag: What was the shooting like for you? Did you have an opportunity to hang out with the cast and bond with them?
BDH: Oh, yes, I mean they’re a very tight-knit group of people who are just wonderful. They’re incredibly authentic and none of them are getting swept up by the mania of this. They just care about each other and are protective of each other. They are just a great group of friends. I feel like all of these people would have been friends regardless. They all bonded through this amazing moment that’s happening in their lives.

Bryce Dallas – Howard on taking over Victoria

Bryce Dallas-Howard was interviewed by The Examiner quite recently where she talked about her taking over the role of Victoria in the third Twilight film, Eclipse.

Will you play Victoria in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”?

I don’t want to give anything away, but “Victoria has a life span,” is what I’ll say. [She laughs.] That’s all I can say about that.

Can you talk about your experience in joining the “Twilight” franchise?

I was really struck by what an incredible group of young people are in that franchise. Their friendships are so genuine, and they really ground each other. And there is a lot going on around them. There’s a lot of attention and scrutiny, but I’m truly moved by how solid they’ve remained in their values and belief systems and their caring of one another throughout all of that. You hope for that in a franchise.

Part of the reason to come back together is to tell a story but also to come back together because everyone genuinely enjoys working with one another. And it was a really, really positive experience for that reason — other than set aside the fact that I’ve read the ["Twilight"] books and loved the books from the very beginning and these characters are extraordinary. It’s such an absorbing story that I just felt very lucky, given the unfortunate circumstances surrounding it, that I was just invited in. I hope that “Eclipse” continues this trend of being really reverent of what ["Twilight" book series author] Stephenie [Meyer] created with the books.

What advice would you have for an actor who is doing a role that was previously played by someone else? A lot of people thought you handled yourself well in the controversy over your “Eclipse” casting.

We’ll see. The jury is still out, because Rachelle [Lefevre] really created an incredible character and is exquisite. I fell like the uproar that occurred was really appropriate, because part of the joy of seeing a franchise, it’s almost like a television series. You’ve seen the actors grow with the franchise. And [Lefevre’s] unavailability [to do "Eclipse"] was really, really, really unfortunate. Advice? Gosh. Just to do your best and be über-respectful. She won that role for a reason. I hope to honor everything that she created.

Bryce Dallas Howard on taking over Rachelle’s Victoria

When she was cast as the replacement for Rachelle Lefevre’s Victoria, Bryce Dallas Howard heard the similar outcry from fans when Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward. There were even petitions from fans to let Rachelle stay but to no avail.

For the first time, Bryce spoke about her casting and on why she was cast for the role.

It was actually a really unfortunate circumstance where the actress who everyone really cared deeply about, who has done an amazing job in this role, was unavailable,” Howard said, explaining her last-minute casting. “They were looking for someone to fill that slot. It was right before production actually happened, so of course there was intimidation there and feeling a huge responsibility to do my best.”

She also has kind words for the cast.

“[They] were really lovely,” Howard said. “And yes, it’s an incredible group of people. I have so much respect for them. There’s so much frenzy surrounding them, and they’ve remained grounded, and their friendships are so genuine. I felt very lucky to work with such a good group of people.

“They love these books — all these actors,” Howard continued. “They’re fans themselves. It was a great energy on set — that people are so passionate about bringing these characters to life.”
