New Moon Box-Office Update

Throughout the two days, we have been posting news about the box-office performance of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.Our source is Deadline Hollywood Daily, a website that reports the goings-on inside Hollywood and is a pretty reliable site. Earlier today, we have reported that New Moon is projected to make a $120M weekend and will probably enter the All-Time Box Office Weekend List at number 4.

However, according to the latest update of Deadline Hollywood Daily, New Moon has projected a strong hold during Saturday showings, earning to an estimated $43M, a drop of about-40%. Anticipating a same drop for Sunday will give the movie an estimated $140M first weekend. Summit Entertainment wont report the official North American, international and worldwide sales until Sunday but New Moon is already a phenomenon. It has so far broken two records and is set to become the Biggest Non-Summer 3-day (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) Opening weekend, breaking the old record held by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
