New Moon 3rd trailer getting good buzz
The brand new New Moon trailer is now online and its getting good buzz. According to an article by Yahoo, New Moon is going to be better than Twilight in terms of effects, storyline and action.
An example of director Chris Weitz’s painfully beautiful CGI work is Bella’s cliff dive scene. After her reckless jump, Bella is floating beneath the murky water and sees Edward hovering next to her. As an arm pulls her out of the water, she reaches out to touch Edward’s upside-down image and the illusion melts away. It’s visually stunning and will be one of the film’s most memorable moments.
The trailer shows the vibrant and bustling streets of Italy. Besides Alice rolling in her super-sexy, super-fast yellow Porsche, we see Bella’s determined run through the Italian crowd to save Edward as he begins to tear off his shirt (abs alert!!!) to expose himself to the sunlight. Bella’s line from the novel, “No, Edward, don’t!” pretty much seals the deal.
After Edward leaves Bella in the “New Moon” novel, Stephenie Meyer expertly shows the unbearable ache Bella goes through with several blank pages. We get a sneak peek of how this pain is handled in the film with Bella writhing in bed, screaming in agony. From book pages to the big-screen, the hurt is still there and you’ll be collecting broken pieces of your heart off the sticky movie theater floor, no doubt.
Edward has a throw-down with some of the Volturi members that’s quite believable. The fight will most likely take home the Best Fight award at the MTV Movie Awards next year just like “Twilight” did previously, but this action-packed fight looks a lot more deserving. Sorry, Cam!
The Volturi clan is creepy, mysterious, and powerful. Michael Sheen’s menacing Aro is seen snapping a human’s neck, and the glimpses of Dakota Fanning show that she was perfectly cast as Jane, the vampire with the ability to create an illusion of pain upon her enemies. Possibly one of the best parts of the trailer is at the end when Jane coldly warns, “This may hurt just a little.”
