Muse to meet up with Director Chris Weitz

Muse made its big American debut last night as they debut their new song at the MTV Video Music Awards. Before their performance, MTV was able to interview the band and according to frontman Matthew Bellamy, they are going to meet up with New Moon director Chris Weitz for a possible song to be included in the New Moon soundtrack.

“I think I’m having a phone call with the director tomorrow,” Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy said during some downtime at their VMA rehearsal. “He wants to use a song off the new album, so we’re going to talk about that. They are also looking forward to meet up with the cast as they have already met Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.

“I haven’t met any of them, but it’d be nice to hook up and say hello, surely,” Bellamy said. “We’ve met Stephenie [Meyer] a few times before, the author, but haven’t met any of the actors.”
