Robert Pattinson should avoid being type cast

Its a common situation happening to actors being made into stars by the franchise they star in and Robert Pattinson is not immune to it.

Robert, who rose to popularity through Twilight, is dangerously becoming typecast by the role he made famous – Edward Cullen. This would affect the actor’s career once the series will end and he will be in a limbo in trying to prove that he is more than just that hunky vampire.

This has happened before with unknown actors suddenly rising to fame with their roles. A perfect example would be Mark Hamil, who will always be associated with his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films. Another example would be Orlando Bloom, who is still having a hard time trying to disassociate himself from his characters, Will Turner and Legolas in LOTR.

According to an article in E! Online, what Robert needs to do is to work on different projects that would extend his acting talents and allow audience to see him in a different light. So far, with Robert has done (Little Ashes), people still see him as Edward Cullen and didnt fall in line for his other movies.
