Jenna Dewan: Channing Tatum for Twilight

A few months ago, screenwriter Melissan Rosenberg suggested that actor Channing Tatum would be perfect for the role of Riley, the young pawn of Victoria, who created an army of vampires for her.

Now Jenna Dawson, wife of Channing Tatum, confessed that she actually rooted for her husband to get the role. Jenna is a big fan of Twilight and wouldnt mind for her husband to get the part of Riley – which was eventually won by Xavier Samuel.

“I totally tried to get him to do it,” Dewan told us earlier this week at the InStyle Summer Soirée at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. “I was like, ‘Baby, do Twilight!’ Oh, my god. I’m a huge Twilight fan. I’ve read all the books. So I was like, ‘You should do it, you should do it, you should do it!’”

“I just saw the trailer for [New Moon] today,” she said. “It’s one of those things where I liked the books so much, I felt like a 10-year-old reading them. I finished them in like three days.”

   I think Xavier will make a great Riley. And I especially like how twilight has a good balance of the more well known actors like Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning mixed with the relatively new people like Xavier. Channing Tatum is nice on the eyes but his acting skills lack depth
