The end of the year is almost here and that would mean year end lists: from the top grossing films of the year to the best performances, to bad and the worst.

2008 has been a very good year for Summit Entertainment, most especially for its latest film Twilight. Twilight has spawned a phenomenon across the globe, that has the Twilight books flying off the shelves and the fans going to the theatres in drove to catch the film. Thus, its no surprise that Twilight will be included in some year end lists.

The Telegraph has listed Twilight as one of its Top Showbiz and Celebrity stories of the year. Coming in at No.10, the Twilight phenomenon has made the movie into a blockbuster and has hordes of fans (mostly females) pack every Twilight event planned. Here is what they have to say about the film:

10 Twilight

When the release of the next Harry Potter film was shunted back to summer 2009, the makers of Twilight jumped in . The adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s vampire tale took more than $100 million in its first week and sparked scenes of worldwide hysteria as teenage girls mobbed the movie’s heart-throb, British actor Edward Cullen. A sequel is already in the works, and Potter-mania seems a distant memory.

IMDB has listed its Top 25 films of the year as well as the Top 25 Stars of the Year. Twilight has made it into No.2 in the Top 25 films of the Year while Twilight female lead, Kristen Stewart is listed as one of the Top 25 Stars of the Year. Please note that the  movies and stars included in the list are not based upon critical assessments or box-office performance, but actual search behavior of over 57 million users of IMDB.com.
